Results

Maria Cepero is the new Miss Intercontinental 2024, Marking another Victory for Puerto Rico since Heilymar Rosario won last time in 2016 in Sri Lanka. The 52nd edition of the Miss Intercontinental pageant, held on December 6, 2024, in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt concluded with a win for Puerto Rico and first runner up from Venezuela. Chatnalin Chotjirwarachat from Thailand crowned her successor at the Sunrise Tal Avenue.

A splendid Night in Egypt

The pageant, hosted by german/american Lutz Riemenschneider was successfully broadcasted live on the Miss Intercontinental YouTube channel. The night was filled with artists, glamour, and cultural showelements, attended by many politicians and Vips

Maria Cepero from Puerto Rico, crowned as the winner, was followed by a very well trained and as well beautiful contestant from Venezuela, Georgette Musrie was elected as the 1st runner-up. Alyssa Redondo from the Philippnes secured the 2nd runner-up position, while Khanh Linh Bui from Vietnam and Celina Weil from Germany were elected the 3rd and 4th runners-up. Miss Intercontinental USA Kenyatta Beazer placed 5th runner up and Amanda Moyo from Zimbabwe received the 6th runner-up award.

Top 20 plus 2 "Special Awards"

The Top 20 finalists included the contestants from Cambodia, Thailand, Cuba, Wales, Canada, Zambia, Ghana, Czech Republic, Colombia, Brazil, Sri Lanka, Russia, Moldova, Belgium. The 2 Fast Track Awards, the "Peoples Choice Award" was received by Puerto Rico, Maria Cepero and the "Power of Beauty" Title was given to the Philippines Alyssa Redondo. Special awards highlighted the glamerous event, with Ekaterina Mineeva winning Miss Photogenic, Rieyka Lee winning the Miss Friendship and Best National Costume and Philippines Alyssa Redondo clinching Best in Swimsuit. 3 more awards given by Sunrise Resorts have been given to Daniella Brant (Miss Popularity), Dario Ko (MIss Sunrise) and Prathibha Liyanaarachchi (Miss Tourism Queen).

The judging panel included experts and honorable personalities like Chatnalin Chotjirwarachat, Miss Intercontinental 2023, Christoph Locher, Film Producer and former owner of Time Models, Vincent de Paul, Hollywood Actor, Rodi Omar, Owner of Crewspot Beauty Lounge, Frank Ruecker, Cluster Manager of 3 Hotels in Germany, Christoph Hoffman, Owner and Founder of D-Rock Champagne, Monika Gruber, Fashion Designer and Habiba El Shaer, Director of Developement of Sunrise. Their presence ensured a fair voting and election.

The Miss Intercontinental 2024 pageant was celebrating 52 years. It was a celebration of beauty, culture, and fashion and brought together a worldwide audience who travelled to Egypt at the Tal Avenue celebrating the women empowerment and the new winner from Puerto Rico and united millions of viewers on the TV Screens. “Welcome back”… to Egypt.

Egypt is called "where it all begins" due to its historical significance as one of the cradles of human civilization. Its ancient history, marked by the influential ancient Egyptian civilization, featured groundbreaking achievements in agriculture, architecture, mathematics, medicine, and writing. The Miss Intercontinental will return to the beautiful city Sharm El Sheik. Situated between Asia and Africa, the Sinai Peninsula is the triangle shaped piece of land dividing the two continents. From north to south, the Sinai is almost 400km long and a little over 200km wide, from west to east. The total coastal length of the southern half is around 600km. To the west is the Gulf of Suez, with a max depth of 80 meters. The Gulf of Aqaba, on the eastern side of the peninsula, has a max depth of around 1,800 meters.

The green city, Sharm el Sheik is also called the “City of Peace”!

Already in 2019, 2021, 2022 and last year we were able to produce our Show in Sharm El Sheik and all events in cooperation with the Sunrise Resort and Cruises Group. Miss Intercontinental 2018 Karen Gallman from the Philippines met the South Sinai Governor Major Khaled Fouda who attended our 2019 Finale. In 2021, we were able to stage – for its first time ever – the 49 anniversary at the new Museum of Sharm el Sheik. The pageant took place with support of the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, an Egyptian government organization which served to protect and preserve the heritage and ancient history of Egypt. The idea for the museum was first suggested in 2006, and in 2017 the construction was completed. Last year in 2023 we celebrated our Finale together, the new opening of the “Tal Avenue” from Sunrise Resorts. From mid-November until 6 December we will enjoy the beautiful Remal Resorts from Sunrise and the Hospitality of the people of Egypt.
